Great find!!
Lots of questions to be answered.
Over 1,200 of them
I wonder how many answers will be like this...."I have to get back to you on that".
Hopefully we have approval by then

If I were the one being asked these questions, I'd act to finish the evaluation before the meeting, the question would be answered.

Nice cool find, thanks.. At minimum it will add to visibility/attention. And based on the volume (Stuttgart aside) the last couple of sessions visibility seems to be increasing.

Interesting but the answers will be something along the libes of
1. Presently investigating it.
2. After and if approved the possibility of NICE will be looked at.

I'm sorry but I don't really understand this. Why would a member of parliament ask a question like this. Furthermore, the fact that the question is being asked should have no bearing on the timing of the process or the ultimate result. If this is the reason for the increased sp I am disappointed. I was hoping that it was due to some sort of leak and therefore predictive of approval.

ATLnsider,

It’s the first Wednesday after the second half of the month which puts the odds up much higher for a decision to be announced based on MHRA historical patterns. Couple this with final inspections apparently done by February as well as the opportunity for political pressure for grandstanding or political gain and or actual patient access, and the timing makes perfect sense; ). Best wishes.

Great find ATLnsider!
I find the way Sarah Owen phrases her questions quite revealing – she seems to assume that the MHRA has already made a decision on DCVax-L and that it's just a matter of making it public. Her second question doesn’t ask if there will be access via the NHS, but rather how quickly that access can be arranged. This strongly suggests a positive outcome is expected, IMO.

> 639 — To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, when he expects the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency will make public their decision on licensing the personalised immunotherapy developed to treat the malignant brain tumour glioblastoma, DCVax-L.

> 640 — To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether his Department plans to work with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence to expedite market access to the personalised immunotherapy developed to treat the malignant brain tumour glioblastoma DCVax-L via the NHS

UK Parliament House of Commons will meet on Wednesday 4/23/2025.

Sarah Owens is a Member of Parliament. Ms. Owens will ask 2 questions about NWBio DCVax-L.

The agenda for this meeting, and the list of questions was published today. Ms. Owens is going to ask the UK Secretary of State for Health and Social Care:

(1) when he expects the MHRA to make public their decision on approving & licensing DCVax-L,

(2) does the Secretary plan to work with NICE to expedite market access to DCVax-L, via the NHS?

I certainly hope there is something interesting to glean from the response to this line of questioning.

That being said, I have a very strong feeling it will read wildly similar to the boiler plate responses we’ve already received from the MHRA about this. With a bit more personal compassion caked on.

Working, in concert with the company, very hard to advance this application. We are particularly interested in this application. Very exciting. Going just as fast as we can. We’ll update just as soon as we can. We hope it will be very soon. Etc etc.

Can almost guarantee there will be no comment on the NICE appraisal. Something along the lines of not sure where it is at in the process, but every effort will be made to advance it as fast as possible.

I can also guarantee the folks here will be able to pick apart whatever is said and use it as proof positive that approval is coming next week. If this guy says “we expect a decision sometime in June” there will be people here saying “he would never say that if he actually thought June because then he would get in trouble if it’s later than that. Saying June probably means he thinks it will be done in May, which means we could get news any day now”.

Gonna be fun reading in the morning.
