JRoon, does moving shares amongst his various sub accounts equate to selling the stock short? At any time is the total number of shares owned the same?
Also, if you take his statement about shorting the stock at face value, then shouldn't you also take his statement that he has never sold the stock the same way?
I have no idea about whether he has shorted the stock or not, but I haven't seen compelling evidence either way. Me taking my shares out of my IRA as an RMD and putting it into my brokerage account for instance I would not consider selling or selling short the stock.
