Truthfully the technology has been poorly managed and the thought process at NWBO was that it was better to just keep forging ahead with the Phase 3 trial as it would be faster than to try to push for a pivotal trial of Direct and start from square one.
I think that if they could go back in time NWBO would have taken the hit and come up with the money to have Direct much further along than it is now. I base this on my hope that they were being honest with us and like us had no real concept of how long this would drag out.
