Tissue was obtained via percutaneous core needle biopsy and/or fine needle aspiration (n = 26) or surgical resection (n = 3). Cytopathologic analysis was performed to confirm that tumor was present in the specimen. Your residual disease claim is only partially true since 3 of 11 had no residual disease of those who did not fair as well. Residual disease indicates worse prognosis to begin with and advanced stages often make immunotherapies less influential on outcomes because a patient is so immune compromised. Trials like this help distinguish those who can be helped from those who can’t be yet. This turns into future tweaks that help even more patients respond. You know this. Best wishes.
