Assuming Tesla gets clearance in Texas and California to operate its Model 3/Ys as driverless taxis, werent they supposed to be remotely controlled? Thus Tesla would have to hire several people to oversee however many Teslas operating as robotaxis at signifcant cost to operations? I dont think this would include consumer Teslas however. I doubt Tesla would get clearance to allow consumers to use level 4 FSD as the service would be too confusing for people to know when and where it can be used. They could try for level 3 but that comes with a significant increase in liability it currently skirts via having FSD be level 2. Theres a great deal of risk Tesla would be taking on moving FSD any higher than its current level 2.
