dstock, as you know, DCVax-L is intended to treat solid tumor cancers that are operable. However, even if a solid tumor cancer is operable, only the maximal amount of tumor that can be safely resected, should be removed.
In most cases, that means that because of where the tumor is located, it is not safe to remove all of the tumor(s). Doing so could cause irreparable harm.
As a result, in my opinion, clinicians can still test for tumor shrinkage in patients who are treated with DCVax-L.
