no doubt, the construction trades around here are absolutely at capacity. We're searching for good help and most of our young guys and girls are sent to work out of town because their populations can't keep up..

That's what is making it harder for us "old" dudes that are a step slower these days. It's like pro sports, the cream always rises to the top and a lot of veterans get washed out in the bottom of the cup if they don't make their voices heard in the locker room..

I read somewhere yesterday with no substantiation to what I read that vance may have wanted no live fact checking? Might be a total internet meme or something, but not anything I put past vance.

I think I caught at least 2 times they cut vance's mic? Maybe even walz too.

And a vice pres debate has never been a deal breaker for me anyways. but Walz clearly won.

I have a fact check for Eric. Eric is wrong...at least what he is saying vs what the chart is saying:

Manufacturing

https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/PRMNTO01USQ661N

What Eric is looking at is spending. This is non organic spending by the Government for the public and private sector. It is akin to an anomaly..and you can find more information here:

https://home.treasury.gov/news/featured-stories/unpacking-the-boom-in-us-construction-of-manufacturing-facilities

The United States has experienced a striking surge in construction spending for manufacturing facilities. Real manufacturing construction spending has doubled since the end of 2021 (Figure 1).[1] The surge comes in a supportive policy environment for manufacturing construction: the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), and CHIPS Act each provided direct funding and tax incentives for public and private manufacturing construction.

The result of the spending has been a no show since is started prior to the signing. If there is not an increase in actual manufacturing in 2025-26(substantial in late 2025 into 26), then we know it's wasteful spending.
