IMO Juneteenth is a ridiculous National Holiday. It's another pander to the Black population. I can see a National Holiday to honor the Emancipation Proclamation.

The Confederacy suppressed news about the Emancipation Proclamation, but on June 19th 1864, a Union ship docked in Galveston, TX and told of the Proclamation.

From then Juneteenth was a day of drunkenness and vandalism around America's South..

It was a day for "white folks" to stay out of Black neighborhoods..

Personally, I think MLK's Birthday and the Emancipation Proclamation shouldbe celebrated on MLK's Birthday. Both dates are in January
