B402, You have just posted one reason why you can't stay away from here. You are so stuck in your sorely deluded party false equivalence mode that you have an - 'a working for the betterment of your whole' - unconscious pull to return here in hope you might finally learn it is possible for you to accept your error, and change your thinking. Your still current problem though is your conscious (for what it is) is stuck so hard it's difficult for your wiser unconscious energies to break through. Your plasticity needs practice. That wasn't the case until recently. Things began to fall apart when the Tea Party arrived on the scene. But our elected representatives were still able to compromise on bills. They weren't what anyone REALLY wanted, but they contained elements that everyone wanted. That's what compromise is.

The problem is that nowadays, Republican members of Congress either are Trump culties, or are afraid to vote for anything that will displease Trump culties or Trump himself. The border bill that was hammered out is a case in point: it gives Republicans more than they've had in 40 years, but that's not good enough for Trump. That's disgusting.

Last year's Republican-led House was the most unproductive in the history of the nation.
