#30183 RE: Beanpower #30181

Well, I did re-read it, and found nothing in there about the topic I brought up. I want to see some progress toward getting some government funding for research and development, especially toward use of our pyrolysis oil as an automotive fuel. There's plenty of that R&D money out there. What progress, if any, have we made toward getting some of it? And if the answer to that question is "None," then why not?

Seems like a fair question to me, given the business we're in.

Let's make some money.

Thanks Bean. The other answer is: who do you think brought USDA to Natchez, and why do you think they were invited?

Grant and research areas are always very good sources of revenue for new emerging companies, so I'll make a deal with you: If we don't have contract closure by the end of first quarter 2007, I'll start the process with my own team personally, and cover the top 25 grant allocations most likely to succeed.

I'd love to spend time chasing down government information packs this week, but if it comes down to orchestrating major power visits, fuel turbine tests, accreditation procedures, and contract revisions for short term deal closures, I'll take real deals over future R&D money anyday.

The other answer you may be happy to here is: USSEC isn't a grant taking, taxpayer subsidized company. It is ready for market and close to signing papers. Grants are normally given for companies to explore how they will provide future services. USSEC isn't lacking in market confidence. ;)
