Another trick for baking soda, and one I've never used.

Love me some crispy taters.
I make mine the same way, but will try that trick.

Mine won't be gluten-free. My oil of choice is bacon fat.

Ok... I got some russets and followed the recipe to a tee, except for the rosemary.
I got some strange looks, and what did you do to these potatoes?

They're delicious.

I don't know what the baking soda does, but they are different and much better than the ones I use to make without it.

Judges gave it a 12. Recipe saved and passed on.
