I may be reading things wrong, but apparently the new moderator guidelines give mods less discretionary power but will cause them to be reporting more posts they believe violate the rules.
If true will there be a new way for mods to report as the present "Remove / Restore Message Reason" is pretty cut and dried.

Banning to one post and silencing based on one persons view is never a good procedure to follow. There should be more than one persons opinion and decision before someone is muzzled, expressly there should be a vote on the board by actual posters whether an individual should be silenced or curtailed. A single moderator or administrator CAN have a very biased opinion themselves (which is never even considered on this board), therefore affecting the important free flow of information and fairness.

Someone complaining about a poster to admin may be the one who is the problem! Let the board posters decide. Are we democratic or are we not? Allowing only one person or those not completely submersed in the daily chats to act as a supreme dictator and judge is akin to living the 1984 saga.

I removed several messages 3-5 that were personal attacks to me and other posters that were reinstated.
I was told I was stupid. It was reinstarted another said to another poster "they should know better."
If I used any of that in my postit would be removed immediately

I am impressed with the new guidelines. I find them very balanced and reasonable. I try to adhere to the gist of them. Unfortunately too many posters are not trying just to move the stock price rather than entering into intelligent discussion.

I would have removed the post because it said "fucked," and I do not think it is allowed as it isn't Pg13. Someone else removed it then a Admin reversed it. Really? So fuck, fucked, are acceptable now? Well that's f*cked up!

What a difference a few days make.

AFAIK most moderated boards have some rules of decorum.

This one used to (somewhat), but now it's a battle royale open to all-comers.

Kudos on the many hours of of deliberation it must have taken to decide: F the rules - there are no rules!

Posts about children, mods or political issues are prohibited, anything else goes (with rare exceptions for vulgarities which the admins won't disclose "but we know it when we see it."

Read the posts I mentioned, they are NOT debating the message, they are attacking the messenger

Thank you for the courtesy of your reply. Based on the information you sent me, it would appear bas2020 is constantly in violation of the rules based on his daily attacks on posters who dare to disagree or express and concerns about Anavex. bas2020 continues to baselessly accuse any poster who dares to disagree with him of being FUDsters and paid members of the Adam Feuerstein cabal without any evidence whatsoever. The effect is to stifle legitimate debate and, at least in my case, to cause me to stop posting altogether. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has stopped posting on the IH board because of bas2020’s rude and destructive behavior.
