Good points. The only thing I would do for years in many company leagues was mark my ball on the green and replace it and use a balanced putting ball. It wasn't until the last few years of my company league where they imposed no ball swaps unless lost. I was vaguely aware of pro rules but never really thought about it at work. Outside tourneys always had their rules though and one abides by them.
We where lax on our corp league because it was a 9 hole fun beer league. But we still stayed honest in score and almost everything else. I was such a great shooter I never had to improve my lie or throw out of a sandtrap. bwaahahaha... ...if you believed that I have some land in Orlando for sale. I'm not even a good liar.
I think a problem with serial liars is they no longer see their real selves in the mirror.
