No wonder Bancel is telling Anjalee he is taking Going Big or Going home approach with this cancer platform meaning big risk involved. Cancer is not Covid with just one virus. He lucked out with Covid. He started as a cancer drug developing company but couldn't succeed for 10s of years. There came Covid he lucked out. Cancer is a whole different monster. I think he is going to join those companies you listed flipper who shut their doors after trying hard.

Now Moderna supposedly knows how to pick the antigens because it had a flashy early phase 2 with Keytruda in Melanoma.

The trial was randomised. In addition, MRNA has presented data on its bioinformatics algorithm https://aacrjournals.org/cancerres/article/80/16_Supplement/6539/644669/Abstract-6539-Bioinformatics-algorithm-of-mRNA

Good luck to them I say, but Melanoma is an immunogenic (hot tumor) cancer with many many targets.

Well, there is data in melanoma suggesting an immunodominant response https://aacrjournals.org/cancerres/article/80/16_Supplement/NG11/645332/Abstract-NG11-Landscape-analysis-of-neoepitope https://jitc.bmj.com/content/10/Suppl_2/A135

As for other types, GRTS's personalised (neoantigen) vaccine has shown encouraging clinical data in patients with metastatic MSS CRC. Also, BNTX's (again, neoantigen) in patients with (resected) pancreatic https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2022/06/05/2456347/0/en/Positive-Phase-1-Data-from-mRNA-based-Individualized-Neoantigen-Specific-Immunotherapy-in-Patients-with-Resected-Pancreatic-Cancer-presented-at-ASCO.html
