I think that the point is that the data on bird deaths show that your concerns about wind farms and birth deaths are, pun intended, overblown relative to the real killers of birds.
Again....
A chart showing estimated numbers of birds killed annually by each of several different causes. Data from various sources.
I merely asked you a question and you provided insight that I would not normally understand. Please don't be frustrated by opinionated people who don't have your knowledge.
I'm not a bird watcher but I do have a couple around here who are close enough to be pets and I have nothing against them. I was just wondering how they could be so careless as to fly into a turbine. I've had a random one or two fly into my windows over the years and meet their demise but I just thought it was because the windows are gas charged and appear a little tinted in the daytime so they thought it was an opening to fly through. I've rarely witnessed them flying at night unless it was a bat or an owl.
I have a story about a massive something that looked like it could have plucked me up one late evening but that's for another day.
Your opinions are as valuable as anyone else's and since you have actual boots on the ground it gives people like me a perspective that I normally wouldn't have appreciated beyond a google search.
Please continue to share because I, for one, would certainly like to know more. :-)
It's nothing about your bird knowledge, it's about your wind energy knowledge. Before you go, is your concern about wind turbulence is a problem when the blades spin much faster when the wind gets strong? And I don't write - 'no disrespect to you' as a 'lark'.
