So, why would the use of SOC's drug (DPZ) be even part of the trial if the intent of the trial is to determine whether the trial's drug (blarcamesine) is better than the current SOC's drug?
I would think part of joining the trial is the acceptance by the participants that each gives up SOC for the trial's drug; reluctance of which might have caused some of the earlier delays to recruit the needed numbers.
It seems contrary to logic or even irrational to include SOC drug in the trial's MO when the trial's purpose is to replace that drug.
