I personally think you have pretty much nailed it and agree. As somebody who prefers partnerships to a buyout (at this time) I am fine with this. Contrary to what some believe, there is no way LP will let this platform go for 'peanuts' and that is what Merck are probably trying to offer :-)

Any and all seasoned and unbiased investors would deduce that Merck and Moderna are teaming as competitors in the space. This is hardly good news.
