Suggesting that a company must have a scientific journal article printed on their product or they are not somehow legit is quite irrelevant to the current situation.
It seems much more appropriate to do things in order and to have their product tested by independent 3rd parties (which has been done a couple of times already) with results revealed by the company as they wish.
They are not required to produce results in a scientific journal and if they wanted to, this would likely happen well after the testing had been completed not before or during.
Seems like a non sequitur to demand a scientific paper in a science journal this early on. Of course I am assuming you are referring to the products just recently tested.
Absolutely ...... 3rd party verification. Nothing else needed. 5000 continuous operation equates to 12 years lifetime expectancy in any industry where continuous operation of 5000 hours is obtained.
