Thanks for your reply. Apparently, 3M is not unduly concerned about its PFAS liabilities; if it were, it presumably would have orchestrated a ring-fence for these liabilities the way it has attempted to do for the earplug exposure. It’s possible that 3M will try to do this later, but I doubt it.
p.s. Those who exercise the NEOG swap that 3M is offering to its own shareholders will not be subject to 3M’s legacy liabilities (to the extent that their tender offers are filled).
