You had me wondering what kind of relationship Simone had with Jean-Paul
And, if it had that power dynamic we (almost ;) discussed earlier
The power women can have over powerful men
Looks like it was more "morganatic" than dominatrix 
Not necessarily with the violent stuff
As, that comment from that woman spoke to a feeling of control
I think the word used was how she enjoyed the terms of those relationships
The chase, catch and release sorta thing
And.. well - the sex.

I remember my fascination with The Second Sex as a young teenager, as it helped me understand, at the very least, the importance of existential feminism as a key reference point from which to launch further philosophical inquiry. I never got around to reading any of Simone's acclaimed novels, however, and I know I should; perhaps that is what retirement is for.
