birdbrain, I wrote a reply but lost the post. I hate when that happens.
Here's the deal with fish oil and optometrist I had cataract surgery my doc recommended fish oil, I can't tolerate OTC fish oil which then lead me to vascepa.
But for dry eye or inflammation of the eyelids try Avenova, it's OTC used to be script only but is now sold on amazon. Made by Novebay, it's worth the money. As JT would say "it works".

bird, re dry eye, the MD eye surgeon (junior) said as to Vascepa that it might depend which of the two different eye lubricants that the body produces is lacking, and than whether V might address the one you are deficient in. I remember at least two posters here had success with V for their eye problem as an unexpected side benefit.
