My understanding is that oil and gas projects take time to develop and begin extraction, sometime years. And then you need refinery capacity to handle the increase in oil production. Why will one additional spur of the pipeline make much difference? How many more barrels will be produced in BC if that phase is completed?
The long term solution is actually less dependency on oil and gas, not more. Otherwise, the definition for a minion might go down to 8, since there will be a lot less people on this earth. Oil and gas production is also extremely corrupting internationally.
