Thanks for posting. All of that makes a lot of sense especially if one or both of the following are true:

1) That life expectancy before the massive introduction of omega-6's into our diet were skewed lower by childhood or young adulthood diseases that killed.

OR

2). The life expectancy after the massive introduction of omega-6's into our diet has been increased by medical advances that keep people living longer and dealing with the problems created by the increased omega-6's.

I bring those two stipulations (? not sure if correct word) up because life expectancy has increased during this time since late 50's and early 60's. And of course if people are living longer, that means more of these disease conditions will manifest.

pdude, thanks for the article very interesting from a scientific point this is probably the reason why Denner has an interest in the EPA molecule. He sees the value of vascepa for many reasons and that's the reason for his investment in Amarin. My friend said Denner is brilliant I guess we'll find out what he has in mind.

Pharma, thanks. Also long-covid. In one study,

... patients with long-lasting Covid symptoms had unexpected responses to riding a bike. Despite having apparently normal hearts and lungs, their muscles were only able to extract a portion of the normal amount of oxygen from small blood vessels as they pedaled, markedly reducing their exercise capacity.

One possible culprit: Chronic inflammation may damage nerve fibers that help control circulation, a condition called small fiber neuropathy. The damaged fibers, seen in skin biopsies, are associated with dysautonomia, a malfunction of automatic functions like heart rate, breathing and digestion that is very common in long Covid patients.

These findings demonstrate that people with long Covid are suffering systemic physical problems, rather than just being anxious or out of shape, said Dr. David M. Systrom, an exercise physiologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital who helped conduct the bike study. “You can’t make up small fiber neuropathy by skin biopsy. That isn’t in somebody’s head,” Dr. Systrom said. “You can’t make up poor oxygen extraction to this degree. All of these are objective measures of disease.”

South African researchers found another circulation problem: Microscopic blood clots. Tiny clots that form during an initial Covid infection will typically break down naturally, but might persist in long Covid patients. These clots could block the tiny capillaries that carry oxygen to tissues throughout the body..

Thanks Pharmacydude; You mentioned "Gilligan" on page 4? I didn't know he was involved in the research? I know the Professor and Mary Ann can't be too far behind.... :D)

Pharmacydude, Excellent Post! (A concept that JL used to educate us about
seemingly a decade ago.) This in a major reason I used to believe that
a BO of AMRN by BP was in the cards. (I assumed that BP understood this
concept.) My belief remains in the Concept of health benefits from EPA,
not only in fighting CVD, but Cancer as well if used as an adjunct
therapy. Of course, Alzheimer's Disease seems like a "no-brainer."
(Yes, a terrible pun, I know.)

Of course, so far AMRN's BOD and management has seemed incapable of
getting either the drug or information about its prospects to gain
much in the way of traction or interest. Maybe the only way that
changes is with a BP BO which we now hope that Dr. Denner will
facilitate despite our "world-class" management & BOD. Someday,
someone will figure out that Vascepa is an excellent "adjunct therapy"
medication for Cancer. (What would be the harm of any study for a
Cancer drug/therapy adding a Vascepa arm to the study?) Maddening
to think about all this...Then again we live a world seemingly
controlled by "irrational actors" these days.
