Just to be clear: 3M continues to manufacture PFAS chemicals that are not considered environmentally troublesome. 3M’s environmental liabilities pertain to certain members of the PFAS class that are no longer being produced.
I added some 3M today, FWIW. I normally avoid companies with material litigation risk, but in this case I think the valuation already has a big legal liability baked in.
