AUC = Area Under Curve. So the result is based on the statistical improvement across the total RSBQ score rather that separate scores for each behavioral section of the questionnaire.

area under the curve. I have not seen it used for scales like RSBQ but it is a very common pharmacokinetic measure for total exposure.

My guess (only a guess) is that patients who had trouble tolerating 30 mg were backed off say to 10 mg and then re-raised to 30 mg. Or there was a titration for some patients. So some patients total 7 week exposure would be less than someone placed on 30 mg daily x 7 weeks (which would be 30*7*7= 1470 mgday exposure)
