It's been many years since IMGN first became public and I bought in, they were clearly the leader in conjugate drugs. A few years later SGEN came on the market, sadly I never bought in, while I still regret that, even today I believe IMGN's technology is superior.
Shortly after SGEN built a market cap well above that of IMGN's it's been rumored they'd be bought out. It's probably been at least 20 years and the rumors persist, but it's simply never happened.
I believe the same thing has been rumored for many biotech's for decades, some have flourished, others failed, but the buyouts just never happened.
While I'd prefer a partnership, if it's a buyout, it's a buyout and I'm sure I'll be thrilled with the profit. I may take stock in the BP, but we'll have to see the terms. I'll probably sell all that's in the Roth IRA's for sure, but may hold all, or some of what's in the primary account if I like what I'm getting into.
