Yes we shall. Lots of Yankee fans must be feeling the way us Mets fans felt for many years. Watching the Yankees spend the bucks while we had to just hope. Yankee fans however have faith and trust that's rare among Mets fans. It will take a while, Mets fans still hoping, until we have some years of success.

Are the Red Sox hoping that James Paxton will be the next Garrett Whitlock or Nathan Eovaldi?

The Red Sox agreed to a one-year, $10 million contract with free-agent left-hander James Paxton with a two-year club option, according to a report from ESPN's Jeff Passan. The club has not confirmed the agreement.

Paxton made one start for the Mariners in 2021, allowing one run in 1 1/3 innings before leaving the game and undergoing season-ending Tommy John surgery. He is expected back at some point during the 2022 season.

The 33-year-old spent his previous two seasons with the Yankees, including a 2019 season in which he went 15-6 with a 3.82 ERA. Paxton went 41-26 with a 3.42 ERA over the first six years of his career with Seattle, including a no-hitter on May 18, 2018, in his home country of Canada against the Blue Jays.
