I remember the fun to watch days when the Mets lineup started with Rickey Henderson, Edgardo Alfonzo and John Olerud. All with very high obp. They made the playoffs with 6 starters that all had eras over 4.00.

A lineup with a lot of guys that can get on base can make so-so pitchers look ok. It's why I like Bryant for them. Career obp is 60 points higher than Baez. They can pick up a starting pitcher at the trade deadline without spending $300,000,000. Many teams have done that lately, with success.
