You do not need level II to see this. I have noticed the same thing just by watching the bid and ask as the trading proceeds during the day. Much of the time (but not always) the current transaction does not move the bid/ask at all.

Viking, this phenomena is so called the dark pool trading; it is a whole different world, a secret world, doesn't have to be shared to the OTC platform. There is going to be a time they are going to kill each other stampeding for shares. The Company is cornering them it seems.

I've been nibbling at Etrade a few times recently and have been getting filling in the middle of the 1 cent spread; I bid for shares at the ask and got filled half a cent lower. I'm guessing they have other internal customers selling and so they can improve both the seller's and the buyer's prices by .5 cent.
