Yes, there are some statistical drawbacks with interim results. Folks should also keep in mind that we do a lot of subgrouping, so the sub-n's are even smaller. And these are conditional probabilities. Interims are not statistical free lunches, so if Missling thinks an interim is unwarranted or unwise, it probably is.

Most of this pushing for an interim peek is about impatience, share price fixation, etc. This is not the way to invest, whether a speculator in a biotech stock or management in an experimental drug.

well if they are targeting based on genetics and wildtype status, then it should already be very obvious.

It is true that more data is better, but this is interim. If we aren't close to significant now, though with the selection of wildtype, then we probably won't be imo..

the apparent robust results in the selected population should make it easy to be statistically significant.
