Not all brokerages will always have their own internal supply of a particular stock...especially stocks with low liquidity, which means stocks that are infrequently traded.

They won't. That is why we have Market Makers. CRGP was on the Grey Market for years, and so had no MMs, because it lacked a new Form 211. Inexplicably, OTC Markets REMOVED it from the Grey Market (which is an SEC thing) and elevated it to Pink No Info. Simultaneously, it allowed it to be quote on an unsolicited basis.

And so now it DOES have MMs.

Im not saying this will happen but could they just go private and the brokers would have the same inventory issue to deal with? And if so late Sept would be irrelevant?

Okay. Thank you for that explanation of the process. Hopefully we see something crazy in a good way play out like that with CRGP

Fidelity wouldn't let me buy shares last summer. Had the new SEC rule been communicated at that point? Maybe the reason I couldn't buy shares was that CRGP didn't meet enough of Fidelity's criteria back then. I have not tried to buy shares from Fidelity since. But I have been buying and selling at TD Ameritrade since last summer.
