Let’s see, 1mwh produces 1ton of co2 per month.
So 250 mwh running 24/7 mining bitcoin costs the environment 250 tones of co2 each month. Granted some power is not coal or oil or dirty fuel, but more than half are. I’m leaving out all the other by products. Al to generate coins that are based on nothing and are not a store of value to any country, just to bitcoin buyers and the sellers.
