I made some buttermilk pancakes with margarine and maple syrup for the cooners, just put it ~OUTT. I am running a bit slow today. Got my second COVID-19 vax (Pfizer) shot Friday at 2PM. By 5 PM had a mild headache, by 6 PM I was noticing muscle pains in legs and hip girdle muscles and in right arm where I tore the shit ~OUTTa my rotator cuff last August (I mean really tore the crap ~OUTTa it - ive torn my left arm rotator cuff before in CONjunction with one of the 8-9 dislocations Ive had with my left shoulder since the early 80s - it is a MESS - but this rotator cuff tear of the right arm was incomparably worse).
As the rotator cuff injury will still take another 9 months or so to fully heal, it is apparently one on the places that has some low-level inflammation still going on. The second vax (Pfizer) seems to have riled up my inflammatory reaction system wide. Right knee arthritis, tennis elbow tendonitis, the rotator cuff tear area, and trochanteric bursitis on right side hip which has not bothered me since 2013 (it began in 2010 or so and then ended - or so I thought - in 2013). The second dose seems to have lit off all these old areas of inflammation that have been subdued for years.
Generalized moderate myalgia, more severe (butt still nott horrible) in quadriceps and calf muscles and hip girdle areas - and gluteus maximus butt muscles.
And kinda fatigued and sleepy - with noticeable mental function degradation in cognition - like I need a dozen espressos to fire up the brainer (and I rarely drink coffee anymore). I did nott feel like doing any work today, and it was nott even fun reading. After Id read a page or two, I kinda needed to reread it to get the gist of the content - so I gave up.
So I slept most of today.
I am doing better know. Mental function is back, headache is almost all gone, muscles and arthritis/tendonitis markedly improved as long as I stay on the ibuprofen. Butt almost ~OUTT of ibuprofen, so I will need to venture ~OUTT tomorrow and pick some up. I have plenny of naproxen, butt that stuff never works for me - pharamcogenomics or some unknown cause - butt only ibuprofen and diclofenac (for the old bursitis) seem to be worthwhile OTC anti-inflammatories for me - always been like that, butt in collitch and gratt skool I chewed aspirin like M&Ms for my knee arthritis - and got some permanent tinnitus as a result. So I stick with ibuprofen and (for any of the trochanteric bursitis only, diclofenac). And I havent had the bursitis since 2013. Until that second COVID shot.
Still a bit sleepy, so I think now that the raccoons are fed, I am going to try to go back to sleep now.
At least I know the vaccine is working. I am shure glad I didnt take ModeRNA, as this is the milder side effect profile Pfizer.
I can now appreciate how rough ModeRNA second shot was for you, J.
~OUTT.
