The only logical explanation is updating would force the company to show something they don't want known. Better to risk the penalty then show the issue.
First of all, it is not racist as I was making no judgement at all based on it, just using it as identification.
More significantly, they have 12 months for results, but must update the status to "complete" within 30 calendar days of the trial reaching completion. They have never done that.
