While I blame management on the generic lovazza problem I also blame the FDA. Generic lovazza should have a warning that it is not intended to be used to prevent CVD or used with a statin for trigs greater than 150. Notice how lovazza is really not growing and it’s been stuck in the 60k range for awhile. Why, I don’t believe converted scripts refill and most decide not to continue. I took lovazza for a short time when it came out on the market and did not continue as I found it a bit rough on the stomach. I would imagine the generic crap is worse. Add to that the shock when they see the ldl increase. These conversions are one and done with the patient missing out on a drug that will help manage their disease. I blame both Amarin and the FDA and sure this will not happen in the EU.
