its not the companies IMO - many companies that are flying are just trading groups. No news or anything. IN Canada they would halt you all the time on any volume or price movement and then the company would have to issue a NMC NR

also folks could have dormant accounts and have these stocks rise from the dead and all of sudden you have some money to trade with. sell a few from the shitpile and start trading again. I know i have had a lot from my shitpile move way up.

Something big is cooking at the SEC again.

The last time I said that they unexpectedly issued the proposed rule changing Rule 144 shortly afterwards.

The Commissioners just scheduled a second closed meeting for this week. It is unusual for them to meet once every week, not to mention twice in one week. Right now they not only have a meeting scheduled for each Tuesday for the next 3 weeks, they added a second meeting this week for Thursday at an unusual time.

No telling if all of these meetings have anything to do with the OTC market. And even if it does, it also doesn't mean they will release something right away. But the signs are there - if I were holding shares of one of the delinquent or defunct pink sheet stocks trading like crazy, I would be quite nervous right about now.
