That brings back memories. I owned a lot of IOMG, which I'd started buying in early 1995, I think...

I did also. I could talk about Iomega for days.

I have always been a computer geek, owned a very early pc, and always felt that the holy grail of personal computing would be significant removable external storage. The gold model at the time was, uh, 360 kb on this:

I have always been a prodigious reader with an incredible memory and one day in the early 90s I read a blurb in PC Mag that a company called Iomega just released a 100 mb disc system called the Zip Drive.

I remembered reading years earlier of a clunkier storage system called the Bernoulli Box by some company called Iomega.

I then bought a chunk of shares at ~3 bucks. Motley Fool fortuitously discovered Iomega many months later at ~ 9. Gosh, transaction fees those days were a small fortune...

The follow-on Jaz drive was even more unreliable...

PS, Janice, how’s your weather. The Maryland blizzard was a bust...

My team and I from Intel called on IOMEGA back in those days. (Damn, Utah alcohol laws are strange!) They were a good customer but were but an offramp on where PC technology was headed.
