That could have been possible and I'm sure Lexaria looked at all the possibilities and chose what made the most sense for the company and its shareholders. Bunka is the biggest shareholder so he is invested in looking out for us that way. I'm sure he has his reasons for going this route. Thc rec would get lost in nicotene, pharma, cbd, thc pharma etc. This move was strategic and if you purchase shares of beer in the End you will do better then if lex had kept thc.
