Looking at the video, the so called new Intel transceiver with the modulator rings uses 28 GHz silicon PAM 4 and a bunch of integrated circuits for driving and heat control to feed the modulator rings. This is today’s available Intel transceiver technology with silicon modulator rings to accommodate light/data transmission ( photons). What’s new? Can anybody with more technical expertise look at the Intel video’s. For me it confirms that Intel is adding devices to its current semi conductor 28 G transceivers to make it suitable for light & data transmission. From there they intend to add more lanes, more rings?
