It is my understanding that Generics cannot sell in Europe until Amarin's patents have run their full course. If anyone can explain in more detail, have at it.
Will. Believe the Reduce It patent provides EU protection and runs longer than Amarin's US patents ( if reinstated ) The generics are trying to invalidate the Marine patent here in the US .
Regarding the R-IT patent . The question there might be if the JELIS trial constitutes prior art obviousness .....anyway the generics would need to challenge in the EU and a hearing would be ( my guess ) 3-4 yrs away.
