Interesting article. The global supply chain is fraught with potential danger. In the cases cited, India's decision to prioritize domestic use vs. export played a role. This could happen with ANY product that the US sources from overseas including most anything electronic. Some of us are old enough to remember the Arab Oil Embargo of the 1970s. It didn't take long for gas lines to form from coast to coast. If China decided to stop or even slow the flow of goods into the US we would be in it deep. And the Chinese know it!
