Yes it is.

Some of us are old enough to remember the Arab Oil Embargo of the 1970s. It didn't take long for gas lines to form from coast to coast. - Prior to that, most of us never gave thought to the numbers/letters on our license plate - it suddenly meant what day of the week we could buy gasoline...It also gave rise to Japans entry into U.S. consumers' auto buying habits - with fits and starts, Japan began to eat our lunch with better mpg autos.

Before this crap hit the fan unemployment was at 3.5% which equated to everyone gainfully employed.

If China decided to stop or even slow the flow of goods into the US we would be in it deep. And the Chinese know it!

Regardless of how the virus got out I don't think we're ready to replace China in the supply chain of things we need.
