For starters it didn’t “go bankrupt”. It voluntarily entered into creditor protection most likely for the complex restructuring that’s taken pretty much all of 2 years. The better question why would an empty debt ridden shell sold for $4.3 million have a bankruptcy proceeding take 2 years
