I still don't see how settling now helps them out - as it stands MARINE patents are invalid - AMRN could settle with the 3 generics involved in this case but it doesn't stop any other drug company from filing an ANDA - it doesn't even have to be another generic maker, PFE could submit an ANDA - only way to protect R-IT sales is to get the ruling reversed.

Marjac. poster MNbio opines that there is no mechanism for settlement .

I agree that is true UNTIL Amarin wins the right of appeal ...then I think settlements talks are viable if both parties see some benefit .
