Exactly, that's why I'm still a bit skeptical..

I'm not saying that the two women should have been fired, I'm just saying that there's more to the story.

If he was a normal bank customer and spent 2-3 days in the local branch complaining without any results, then something was up.

The law was changed in 2003 when the Fed said checks no longer had to be returned to the signer's bank and banks could transmit the image instead speeding up the clearing of checks and eliminating the paper.

Later on they have allowed banks to flag "bad customers" and once flagged by a bank people can't open up an account at another bank.
