Jeez - $5300 for what, a new engine!?! Just had my RL in for some work last week - I knew it was a high performance sedan, but had no clue they used the most expensive brakes available - the same kind Porsche has used for decades (also used in sports car racing) - Brembos - front rotors and new pads cost a whopping $1100.

BTW, you do NOT want a new MDX or RDX - my loaner was a brand new RDX, and I literally couldn't even figure out how to turn the damn radio on - everything is 100% digital, operated by a non-intuitive touch-pad on the console to move an invisible cursor around. So unsafe it's not funny - you HAVE to take your eyes off the road to do pretty much anything except change the fan speeds and air temps, those have actual physical buttons. The steering wheel is full of knobs and buttons too, so some hands-free stuff is possible, but only if you read the damn manual first. And don't get me started on Acura's standard over-boosted electric brake systems - there are two ways to drive - w/o the brakes, or with the brakes at full blast, can't modulate the pedal like you can in a hydraulic brake system where braking power is progressive.
