Actually - I love my MDX. going on 10 years with well over 200k miles - I would get the same again.

$5300 is for multiple things - some of which don't need to be fixed until months down the road - but i told the guy to do it now while i am still working and have the money to pay for it. will save money in the long run as they are already 'pulling' the car apart on other issues.

although - a new MDX - paid for in cash because AMRN shot up in price - would be stellar!

Sorry man, you got robbed... book estimate for front brakes on a 2012 RL is:

NAPA Front Brake kit (Pads and Rotors) - $120
R&R Front Brake Rotors & replace pads - 1 hr

With shop markup on parts, it's a $300 job max. Granted, Brembos will cost more, but not $800 more.
