sharinky, Some MD's posting on this board are frustrated because their
fellow doctors simply do not understand how Vascepa works, or do not
trust any new medications because they believe most are not worth the
money/scams. For any medication that a doctor is interested in a sales
rep provides a valuable service...even if it just to clear up any
misconceptions about the medication or hand out free samples. I believe
that having an army of 10,000 reps armed with info from R-I would make
a big impact compared to only a few hundred sales reps. A company
like AMRN has to make some very important choices on where spending
its limited capital makes the most sense. Once AMRN gets the label
for R-I sales should explode as insurance companies provide better
coverage for Vascepa DTC advertising mentions numbers from R-I. In
all honesty I cannot see how AMRN going it alone would result in
more sales of Vascepa than if it were partnered or in the hands of
Big Pharma over its life cycle. In any case this is not our call,
JT is the one who will will decide.
