Although... I have grown an interest in this industry's potential and like any tech that reduces our need for fossil fuels.
I believe that oil is the planet's lubricant between tectonic plates. By extracting that lubricant, we are damaging the planet. Perhaps a necessary evil in this phase of our evolution, but hoping for a relatively quick transition to renewable processes, like the one developed by Bioamber.
However, Bioamber used refined feedstocks. Visolis processes use waste biomass, which is pretty darn close to resource neutral!
The point being... I doubt the old company and the new company have set out to destroy equity value and the new company will seek financing through equity offerings. Therefore, I will likely retain some portion of shares in this endeavor.
