It's hard to tell what the deal with the "backers" was. Some of their comments appear to suggest they were told they'd get a phone if they contributed. Or perhaps some of the refunds are for those pre-orders?

I do not believe it as if they plan to deliver mid-February then they are manufacturing them now, so they have already spent the money on manufacturing. I do not see how they are going to reimburse us.

Everyone who ordered and doesn't take a refund will get a phone for sure. It's about the timelines of when. We are aiming for fall, but as stated above, we will not give definite dates yet.

Military grade? I thought Solarin was offering this type of feature to smartphones, but their phones are way too expensive with a price tag of $14,000. No average person can afford that.

If you checked out Ilja Laurs LinkedIn profile, he has a track record of building nine-figure companies from scratch and multiple exits. Currently chairs Nextury Ventures and invests in multiple high-tech areas such as 3D printing, fin tech, sharing economy, mobile and smart sports.

Notice his Linkedin background, he just presented at a crypto, blockchain conference.

Here is my theory on what the big disagreement was between Comet Core's Founder Prashant R Urs, and former president of Comet Core, Matthias Mende. I think Prashant, the original inventor/founder, really pushed for Comet Core to be more known for as the 1st smartphone that can float in water (1st buoyant phone) because that was his primary idea. I think Matthias, Louden Owen, Ian Brewster, Jason Steinberg, disagreed in the process and thought the buoyant idea was not good and instead they wanted to create a smartphone to that should be known for having military-grade security encryption using blockchain/crypto technology that is made affordable for the masses. If you look at current tech trends, blockchain and AI is becoming huge.


I think the disagreements of how Comet Core's marketing and spec's is what led to the big disagreement. This is the one of the main reason why Utopya smartphones were formed. Jason Steinberg was Comet Core's marketing executive. He witnessed Ian Brewster, Mattias and Prashant argue about Prashant's 1st smartphone buoyant idea which was a bad idea and they should have pushed for a blockchain/cryptocurrency, high security, smartphone since that was becoming more popular. After Comet Core fell apart, Jason glued together Louden Owen, Ian Brewster and Cycloides because together, they had the same vision to create a highly secure military encrypted smartphone using blockchain/fin tech, that is affordable for the masses.
